BREAKING: Jets WR Corey Davis has Surprisingly Announced his Retirement at the age of 28 years old.
As reported by NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Jets WR Corey Davis has announced his retirement from the NFL, at the young age of 28:
Davis was drafted by the Titans as the 5th overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft. After a standout college career, the NFL world expected success from Davis, which never seemed to occur, other than in 2020 where he scored 5 TDs along with 984 receiving yards.
After becoming a free agent in 2021, Davis signed a 3-year $37.5 million contract with the New York Jets. Davis became a solid WR with the team, but injuries cut his seasons short.
Now, after a short career, Davis is retiring from the game.
Davis ends his 6 season career with 3,879 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns.
