BREAKING: Jets are Benching Former 2nd Overall Pick, Former Bears QB Named as the Starter
As announced earlier today, the Jets have decided to bench QB Zach Wilson and name backup QB Tim Doyle as the starter:
During Sunday's blowout loss against the Bills, Wilson was benched after going 7/15 for 81 yards, along with 1 touchdown and 1 interception.
Now, the Jets are naming the third string QB as the new starter.
Boyle went undrafted in 2018, and found himself playing for 3 different NFC North teams until 2022. He started off playing for the Packers for 2 seasons, then the Lions and Bears for 1 season, and now the Jets since this past offseason.
In 18 games played and only 3 of them as the starter, Boyle has a total of 607 passing yards for 3 touchdowns, along with 9 interceptions.
