"The Chicago Bears and general manager Ryan Pace decided to roll the dice this season when it comes to their kicker situation. Instead of signing a veteran kicker or trading for one, Pace decided to let a bunch of relatively unknowns fight for the position through camp.So far it hasn't worked out too well as none of them have looked very impressive. With nobody standing out, the competition was expected to continue through training camp however the Bears decided to give one of them their walking papers. The Bears and Pace announced on Wednesday that they've waived kicker Chris Blewitt. That leaves Elliott Fry and Eddy Pineiro on the roster to fight it out for the starting position.
