"It sure did not take general manager Ryan Pace to find the next head coach of the Chicago Bears. Exactly one week after firing John Fox, it appears that the Bears have his replacement.
According to Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times, the Bears are expected to name Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy head coach. Nagy interviewed for the job on Sunday and must have knocked it out of the park.
The 39-year-old Nagy has spent his entire NFL coaching career working under Andy Reid, who is one of the most creative offensive coaches in recent history. He started as intern before working his way to quarterbacks coach and then offensive coordinator.
According Jahns, Nagy and the Chiefs were very interested in Mitch Trubisky at last spring's NFL Draft and now he will be in charge of developing him into a franchise quarterback.
Nagy is now the sixth current head coach who worked under Reid at some point. That list can grow to seven if Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, who interviewed for the Bears job, gets hired this offseason. What do you think of this hire?"
