Bears release their first injury report ahead of Week 1!
The Chicago Bears released their first injury report of the season on Wednesday, and it's one of the shortest we've seen in quite a while. Only two players were listed: WR Velus Jones. Jr. who did not participate with a hamstring injury, and EDGE Dominique Robinson who was limited in practice with a knee injury.
Courtney Cronin reported that Jones was riding the stationary bike during the portion of practice open to the media.
She also mentioned that Lucas Patrick is not on the injury report, meaning there's no designation for his thumb. From what I saw during limited individuals drills in practice, Patrick was taking reps at guard (Teven Jenkins in line right behind him). We'll see if that's where he sticks.
As for Safety Jaquan Brisker, he also had his cast removed on Monday and he will be good to go for the game against the 49ers!
This is great news. It would be very nice for all players not on injury reserve to play Sunday. Those are the things that really matter, especially in the long-run.
