Bears release Beau Brinkley
The Bears communication team announced that they have released long snapper, Beau Brinkley. The move comes after the Bears re-signed long snapper Patrick Scales to a one-year, $1,272,500 deal.
This is not a major move, but it was still necessary. Brinkley has been in the NFL for 11 years now and it seems as if his best days are behind him now.
While releasing a lot of players is good when your team was bad the prior season, you need to sign some as well. I don't believe it is time to push the panic button right now but it would be nice to see Ryan Poles a little more active.
