Bears offensive lineman placed on Injured Reserve
The official Chicago Bears media team announced that they have placed GUARD Dakota Dozier on injured reserve.
Dozier was signed by the Bears this offseason to a one-year deal to compete for a starting spot on the offensive line. He was playing with the second-string offense at left guard when the injury occurred.
The veteran went down with what looked like a serious injury during practices last week. He had been competing to start but instead will miss the season.
This is a really tough blow for Dozier who was trying to rejuvenate his career in Chicago under a new coaching staff.
To take his spot on the roster, the Bears signed DB Jayson Stanley.
