Bears have signed an edge rusher
The Chicago Bears have signed Northern Arizona EDGE Carson Taylor to an undrafted free agent deal, his agent reported last night.
The Bears brought Taylor in for a tryout at rookie minicamp this week. He impressed them enough to obtain a contract. He is a very explosive athlete with great production at the FCS level.
As I mentioned, he is such an explosive player with a very quick first step. In fact, he ran a 4.59 in a blizzard at his Pro Day. His vertical was also 38-inch. He had 19 sacks and 28.5 TFLs in 28 starts.
His recorded 19.0 career sacks are ranked third in the program since 2000 and his 36.0 career tackles for loss, tied for third all-time at Northern Arizona. Taylor also earned 2021 All-Big Sky Third Team from Phil Steele and 2021 All-Big Sky Honorable Mention from the conference.
Check out his insane highlight tape!
