Tom Pelissero has announced that former Bears' player Xavier Crawford is signing with the Jaguars. He signs a 1-year deal and reunites with former Bears' CB coach Deshea Townsend.
Crawford was an excellent special teamer in Chicago and was a great leader on that unit. He is still only 26 and is a former sixth round pick by the Texans. He appeared in 13 games in 2021 and recorded 13 tackles.
The Bears shouldn't miss Crawford as he never emerged as a consistant defender. Good luck to him in Jacksonville but Chicago does not need him.
