Bears' former coach lands a job in Jacksonville
Bill Shuey, former Chicago Bears outside linebackers coach has been hired to do the same job for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
He started his tenure in Chicago in 2019 as a quality control coach on defense. He was then promoted to pass rush analyst and assistant linebackers coach the following year. Finally, in 2021, he was promoted again to outside linebackers coach. Unfortunately for him, he was not retained following the firing of head coach Matt Nagy and the subsequent hiring of Matt Eberflus in January 2022.
Shuey was a great asset for the Bears. He certainly was a huge part of Kahlil Mack's success in 2019 and 2020. In addition, I think he deserves a lot of credit for Robert Quinn's record-breaking season in 2021. We wish you the best of luck, coach Shuey.
