Bears almost pulled the trigger on a Robert Woods trade
The Bears haven't made any big move through the first wave of free agency. However, that doesn't mean they're done adding new pieces to the roster. Especially since helping QB Justin Fields remains the top priority this off-season.
It sounds like Bears' GM Ryan Poles was attempting to make a big splash yesterday thru a trade.
According to Michael Fabiano, the Bears were «very interested» in wide receiver Robert Woods before the Los Angeles Rams traded him to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a 6th rounder. Here is the report:
Even though Poles was not able to make it happens, it shows that he is actively trying to bring in playmakers.
