Bad news for Bears rookie WR...
Here is the injury report released by the Chicago Bears on Thursday.
As you can see Bears WR Velus jones did not participate at all during the session. The day before, he was a limited participant. This clearly means that he had some kind of step back on Wednesday.
Aaron Leming mentioned that he believes this means he is still at least a week away from his return to action. I have to say that I agree with him. The fact that he did not practice does not bode well at all, especially since Jones is still a rookie. If a veteran misses a practice, you can still expect him to play, but for a younger player like Jones, the chances are slimmer...
While this is not great, I still like that the Bears are being cautious and they understand that this is a long season and that they will need to have Jones healthy as much as possible.
