An AFC powerhouse aims to bolster their roster by trading for Titans' star WR DeAndre Hopkins, closing in on the Chiefs' dominance.

The Tennessee Titans are poised for a significant overhaul in 2024, and part of this reset could involve trading away their All-Pro wide receiver, DeAndre Hopkins.

Following the unexpected departure of beloved head coach Mike Vrabel, the Titans have appointed Brian Callahan, the former offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals, as their new head coach. Additionally, there are strong indications that star running back Derrick Henry and former Pro Bowl quarterback Ryan Tannehill will depart in free agency.

Given that Hopkins is nearing the age of 32 and is entering the final year of his contract, it seems prudent for Titans' GM Ran Carthon to explore trade options. Hopkins is unlikely to be part of the Titans' long-term rebuilding plans, and he may be eager to join a contender while he is still in his prime.

While any team would benefit from having a player of Hopkins' caliber, the Baltimore Ravens emerge as a particularly fitting destination for him. Baltimore has not had a receiver surpass 1,000 yards since 2021, and quarterback Lamar Jackson could use another explosive playmaker to overcome perennial obstacles like the Kansas City Chiefs.

A potential trade scenario could see the Ravens offering their 2024 third-round pick (No. 93 overall) along with a 2025 fifth-round pick to the Titans in exchange for Hopkins. This offer represents a fair deal for a player approaching his 30s with only one year left on his contract.

Such a trade would provide Tennessee with additional draft assets to facilitate their retooling efforts, while the Ravens would acquire a game-changing superstar to bolster their already potent offense. Ultimately, this hypothetical trade could benefit all parties involved, with Hopkins finding himself in a contender's uniform and both teams addressing their respective needs.
