The Bears have added 2 veterans to the offensive line in OT Riley Reiff and OG Micheal Schofield. Both were among the best O-linemen still available and will dramatically help the rocky offensive line in Chicago. It has been reported by Field Yates of ESPN that Ryan Poles has done an outstanding job with their contracts.
The Bears' deal for rock solid OT Riley Reiff worth up to $12.5M is structured in a way to count just $3M against the cap.
OG Michael Schofield is a veteran salary benefit deal, meaning the Bears have added two potential OL starters this week for less than $4M in cap space.
$4 million for two apparent starters on the O-line is a massive hit for Chicago. This adds talent, experience, and huge depth in case of injuries.
A MASSIVE win for the organization!
