"A couple of weeks ago before NFL free agency happened and all the madness that followed a contract extension was reportedly on the table. Both Chicago Bears' general manager Ryan Pace and wide receiver Allen Robinson confirmed that the two sides were talking. Robinson expressed strong interest in sticking around for awhile and becoming the all time Bears' receiver. Pace agreed and said he'd like to see Robinson with the Bears for a long time. However that all seems to be on hold as Robinson gave an update on the contract negotiations while speaking with Brad Biggs of The Chicago Tribune. "Definitely optimistic" Robinson said. "But optimistic or not, I am in Chicago and everybody knows where I stand and how I feel about Chicago.
At the end of the day, whatever happens, happens. I can only control so much, and that is to go out there and have myself prepared to play each and every Sunday. I can't concern myself too much with what's going on and different decisions that can and can't be made."Do you think Robinson will be around for the long run?"
