Al-Quadin Muhammad speaks on his playing style!
It was announced on March 18th that the Bears signed Al-Quadin Muhammad. The deal is a two-year $10 million deal. He will be reuniting with new Bears head coach Matt Eberflus who was previously with the Colts as well.
He is 26 and was a 6th round pick by the Saints in 2017. He then joined the Colts in 2018. He has never missed a game for Indianapolis which shows his reliability. He had his best season last year under Eberflus. He should hit the ground running in Chicago with his familiarity with the scheme.
Muhammad appeared on the Bears All Access Show yesterday and he spoke about his love for causing turnovers:
"I enjoy running to the ball. I enjoy playing physical. I enjoy punching the ball. I'm a fanatic about taking the ball away.»
Must read on LetsBearDown
This is nice to see since forcing turnovers was really a point of emphasis for the Bears this off-season. They did not take the ball away at a very high clip last season! Hopefully, Muhammad will be able to help in that department.
He has 11 career sacks, 128 total tackles, and 22 tackles for loss with the Colts.2021 was his best season by far (6 sacks and 17 starts) and he should keep improving.
