Al-Quadin Muhammad's number is revealed!
It was announced on March 18th that the Bears signed Al-Quadin Muhammad. The deal is a two-year $10 million deal. He will be reuniting with new Bears head coach Matt Eberflus who was previously with the Colts as well.
Today, Daniel Greenberg reported that the new acquisition will wear the number 55.
It's a number that has a lot of history for the city of Chicago. It was most notably worn by the great Lance Brigs. This means that Muhammad will have big shoes to fill next season wearing this jersey, and I have no doubt he has the potential to do just that!
He is 26 and was a 6th round pick by the Saints in 2017. He then joined the Colts in 2018. He has never missed a game for Indianapolis which shows his reliability. He had his best season last year under Eberflus. He should hit the ground running in Chicago with his familiarity with the scheme.
He has 11 career sacks, 128 total tackles, and 22 tackles for loss with the Colts.2021 was his best season by far (6 sacks and 17 starts) and he should keep improving.
Check out a few of his highlights:
