After Releasing a player, the Chicago Bears have found their Replacement
As revealed by the Twitter page of the Chicago Bears communications department, the Bears have waived wide receiver Thyrick Pitts and then signed tight end Jared Pinkney:
Pitts was an undrafted free agent before signing with the Bears this offseason. He had hopes of beginning his rookie year as a Bear, but was waived before the season could begin.
After the release of Pitts, the Bears signed Pinkney, who went undrafted in 2020. He spent some time with the Falcons, Lions, and Rams, as well as a few other teams where he was a member of the practice squad.
In his career so far, Pinkney has only played in 6 games, and has made 0 receptions, yards, or touchdowns.
