A recently emerged team has become the top contender to acquire the services of star quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Amid the ongoing standoff between the Baltimore Ravens and their two-time Pro Bowl quarterback Lamar Jackson, a new team has emerged as the clear front-runner to acquire his services. According to bookmaker Adam Thomson of Bookies.com, the Ravens are no longer favored to retain the former MVP, with the Atlanta Falcons leading the pack with a +300 odds and a 25% implied probability. The Carolina Panthers and Las Vegas Raiders follow closely at +450 and +550 odds, respectively.
On Tuesday, the Falcons made headlines by cutting Marcus Mariota and signaling their intention to bring in new talent, possibly including Jackson. A video circulating online featuring a Falcons jersey with Jackson's name has fueled speculation of a potential trade between Atlanta and Baltimore. Jackson's contract negotiations with the Ravens have hit an impasse, with the player reportedly seeking a fully guaranteed $230 million deal, similar to what Deshaun Watson received from the Cleveland Browns in 2022.
According to an ESPN source, "anything is possible" at this point, with a trade between the Ravens and another team now seeming more likely than ever before.
