30+ years NFL scout loves the new Bears addition
Greg Gabriel, who spent over 30 years as a scout in the NFL, including 9 as Scouting Director, had some very good words for the newest Bears cornerback, Tavon Young.
Here is what he said:
In my opinion, Tavon Young is a huge upgrade over Duke Shelly as the slot corner. He's played very well on a perennially strong Ravens Defense. He's one of the Free agent corners I was hoping the Bears would sign.
I couldn't agree more with him. I truly believe Young can turn out to be a great player next season. He is an extremely talented corner and he has been way healthier lately.
In addition to that, his contract is pretty cheap. It's a one-year deal, worth $1.365 million. At this price, the risk associated with his signing is very small. However, the upside is still high!
