Though South Carolina QB Spencer Rattler was once seen as the top QB in college football, injuries and other mishaps have lead to a decline in his scouting report, but analysts were sure that he would be drafted this year.
Now, with their 5th-round pick, the New Orleans Saints have drafted Rattler:
Rattler ended his college career playing for Oklahoma for 3 years and then South Carolina for another 2 years, finishing with a total of 28-14 record, throwing for 10,807 yards, 77 touchdowns, and 32 interceptions. He was named as a First-team All-Big 12 in 2020.
Rattler will now be backing up for Derek Carr, but will be competing for the starting position.
