He expressed a strong personal connection to players over teams, stating, "My dad tried to raise me to be a Redskins fan... but I'm a player guy, and Aaron Rodgers is my guy. I couldn't join the bandwagon." While Rodgers' transfer to the Jets has made waves, Williams maintains his player-centric approach, resisting the temptation to switch allegiances simply based on team changes.

As Williams anticipates potentially being drafted by the Chicago Bears, this allegiance to a Packer legend comes across as particularly ironic. The Bears, expected to select Williams first overall, have been historically tormented by Rodgers, who claimed dominance over Chicago during his tenure with the Packers.
