A sentence has been handed down to a former defensive back of the San Francisco 49ers following his conviction in a hit-and-run case. Tim McKyer, a three-time Super Bowl champion with 12 years in the NFL, faced serious legal consequences after being charged with five counts of leaving the scene of an accident with property damage stemming from an incident at a parking garage in Riviera Beach, Florida, on February 19.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, McKyer, the former NFL standout, has reached a deal that mandates completion of a pretrial diversion program to have the charges dropped. Under the terms, McKyer is required to undertake 16 hours of community service, attend four hours of defensive driving classes, pay a $100 fine, and maintain good behavior. His compliance will be assessed in a hearing scheduled for May.

The incident involved his Tesla, which reportedly struck the vehicles, resulting in visible damage, with some rendered "inoperable," according to police reports.

Authorities assert that McKyer then maneuvered his Tesla to a different level of the garage and departed without notifying anyone about the accident. Upon police contact, McKyer purportedly exhibited signs of intoxication, struggling to maintain balance. He was subsequently detained for leaving the accident scene with property damage and transported to a nearby hospital.

McKyer, aged 60, was later arrested and faced five charges, admitting sole responsibility for driving his car on the evening in question, as detailed in court documents.
