49ers wide receiver shot in the chest during armed robbery

Ricky Pearsall of the San Francisco 49ers was shot in the chest on Saturday following an armed robbery attempt.
Pearsall and the 17-year-old suspect got into an altercation that ended with both men being transported to the hospital. Pearsall is in serious but stable condition, according to ESPN. He is expected to make a full recovery from his injuries. Meanwhile, the teenager has been arrested and a decision on charges will be made soon.
Pearsall is a rookie receiver with the 49ers and as you can imagine, this news came as quite the shock. However, Pearsall was able to communicate with police, which is most certainly a good sign.
