During the 2023 season, the Chicago Bears made headlines for unfortunate reasons most of the time, except when they traded for a standout pass rusher.
On October 31, 2023, the Bears traded a 2nd-round draft pick to the Commanders in exchange for rusher Montez Sweat. Only a few days following the trade, the Bears and Sweat agreed to a 4-year deal worth up to $98 million.
Now, the NFL is showcasing the top 100 players of the 2023 season, voted by the players, and Sweat has made the list:
As seen, Sweat was named as the 82nd best player of this past season, making this his first time to ever make the list.
Looking back, the Bears won this trade, as Sweat is now looking his best since entering the NFL, and he was named as a Pro Bowler this past season.
