Velus Jones Jr. punished by the Chicago Bears

Velus Jones Jr. had a bad turnover during his first kickoff last weekend and now, it would appear as though his time with the Chicago Bears could be over.
According to special teams coordinator Richard Hightower, these kinds of mistakes are not acceptable. In fact, at practice this week, DeAndre Carter was the number one kick and punt returner. Hightower says it was a tough decision but a necessary one.
"As a human, I hurt for the kid, I really do," Hightower said. "But as a coach, we have to evaluate all of our options. And he knows in the return game the No. 1 thing is to take care of the football."
