In a new article from NBC Sports' Michael David Smith, he reveals a rumor that is spreading around the NFL, which is that the Chicago Bears may make their new rookie WR Rome Odunze their new punt returner:
Rome Odunze may serve as Bears' primary punt returner
According to Smith, Bears special teams coordinator Richard Hightower spoke about Odunze as a "four down player" and that he is someone he sees him doing more than just playing with the offense:
"Rome is an every-down player. Rome's a first-down player, a second-down player, a third-down player and a fourth-down player"
- Hightower said
When asked on if Odunze will be the Bears' new returner, Hightower refused to give an answer, but did not deny that Odunze could be a potential candidate.
