In a recent release, The Athletic shared insights from their novel projection model designed to assess NFL teams' offseason maneuvers, weighing the impact of player acquisitions and departures on their respective rosters.

According to this model, the Chicago Bears clinched the second-best offseason performance, trailing behind the Atlanta Falcons. However, with the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft looming, where the Bears are anticipated to make a significant addition in Caleb Williams, their position may yet see a boost. As it stands, they're making notable strides.

Analyzing the Bears' offseason moves, The Athletic's Austin Mock highlighted their savvy utilization of cap space, particularly through the acquisition of Keenan Allen from the Los Angeles Chargers. This strategic move, coupled with additions like Gerald Everett, Coleman Shelton, and D'Andre Swift, bodes well for the team's future, according to the model.

The top five offseason performances, as per the model, are currently attributed to the Falcons, Bears, Steelers, Lions, and Titans, while the bottom five include the Vikings, Broncos, Chiefs, Cowboys, and Chargers.

Looking ahead, the Bears stand to enhance their standing in the model with their forthcoming draft picks, notably with the potential selection of Caleb Williams and other prospects. Notable additions such as D'Andre Swift and Keenan Allen bolster the team's roster, while departures like Darnell Mooney and Eddie Jackson signify key changes in personnel.

Notable Offseason Additions for the Bears:
