Here's how Jordan Love's new contract benefits the Bears

Jordan Love of the Green Bay Packers just got a massive contract, however, this could be good news for the Chicago Bears.
Recently, Love signed for four years at $220 million which is a whopping $55 million per year. Gene Chamberlain of Sports Illustrated is not convinced this is a wise decision. In a recent article, he noted how Love only has one good season on the record.
This could subsequently lead to a disaster for the Packers. If he regresses and their quarterback takes up too much cap space, then there is no chance for the Packers to be successful for the next few years. That would then lead to a huge opportunity for the Bears to take over.
"If it turns out the Packers overestimated Love's abilities, they'll be in a situation not unlike what happened to the Bears when they paid the ridiculous contract to Jay Cutler. As it is, they'll find it harder to add new talent with a quarterback eating up $55 million a year of cap space."
Do you believe that this is a bad deal for the Packers? Let us know in the poll below. Additionally, stay tuned to Let's Bear Down for the latest news and updates from around the football world.
