The Bears were headed into the 2024 season without a clear option to play on the other side on Montez Sweat as a pass rusher.
GM Ryan Poles decided to make a last minute decision agreeing to a trade with the Seahawks for Darell Taylor.
In week 1 against the Titans, Taylor was another player on defense that play unbelievably well and showed his quickness on multiple occasions making tackles in the red zone.
Darrell Taylor showed up in pass rush but also against the run. Very impressive debut. Surprised Poles got him for so little. #DaBears
Clearly Poles made a great decision in bringing in Taylor despite Austin Booker proving that he will also be a big part of the Bears defense but he just needs time to get more reps in.
