As announced this afternoon by the Chicago Bears, rookie QB Caleb Williams will not be playing at the Hall of Fame game this thursday, and instead they have chosen to start QB Tyson Bagent:
Bagent went undrafted in 2023 and surprisingly made the final roster. As a backup to QB Justin Fields, Bagent found playing time after Fields got hurt.
During this time, Bagent was the most popular man in Chicago as he was playing very well and shocked most fans around the NFL.
Now, he is competing for the backup spot again, but this time against veteran QB Brett Rypien.
It's likely that both Bagent and Rypien will get playing time, but Bagent has been ruled as the starter.
