Chicago Bears have Released Statement Regarding the Passing of Former

Following the passing of former Chicago Bears QB Bob Avellini, the team has released a statement saying:
"Bob was one-of-kind, a fierce and tough competitor. �He's perhaps best remembered for leading the Bears on an improbable run in 1977 to our first postseason appearance in fourteen years.�He will be missed"
Avellini was a 6th-round draft pick by the Bears back in 1975. He went on to spend the next 9 seasons as a Bear. He finished his career appearing in a total of 73 games, making 560 completions, throwing for 7,111 yards, and throwing for 33 touchdowns.
Avellini passed away from Cancer on May 4th, 2024. He was 70 years old.
