With Vic Fangio now in Denver, the Chicago Bears search for a defensive coordinator has begun.
The team is reportedly trying to get it settled before general manager Ryan Pace and head coach Matt Nagy hold their end of season press conference.
Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that the Bears have interest in former Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano. Biggs even goes as far as labelling him the possible #1 outside candidate.
Pagano has already interviewed with the Carolina Panthers for one of their secondary coaching spots, which confirms he is looking for work after stepping back from the league last year.
Biggs also mentions him as a possible target for the Cleveland Browns and Arizona Cardinals in regards to their open defensive coordinator positions.
Do you think Pagano is a good option?
The #Bears interviewed secondary coach Ed Donatell for the defensive coordinator position today. Former Indy coach Chuck Pagano is believed to be on their radar and could be the top external candidate. https://t.co/msKCMHHh1U
