The Chicago Bears kicking situation still remains one of the biggest question marks as we get closer to the start of the 2019 NFL season.
There was a bit of hype at the start of training camp regarding the competition between Eddy Pineiro and Elliott Fry.
However that hype has died down and the majority of analysts don't believe either can carry the job for the full NFL season, and the Bears might feel the same way.
According to Pro Football Weekly, the Bears were aggressively trying to acquire kicker Kaare Vedvik from the Baltimore Ravens who was eventually traded to the Minnesota Vikings for a 5th round pick.
The Bears only have a second round, fifth round, sixth round and seventh round pick in the 2020 draft and the Ravens felt the Vikings pick would be better.
The Vikings sent a 5th round pick to the Ravens to acquire Vedvick. The #Bears didn't have a 4th round pick in 2020 to out bid them with. They may have offered their 5th plus a lower pick or two, but Baltimore probably just wanted the highest possible pick in the next draft. https://t.co/k4mNTfctfS
