The Chicago Bears and general manager Ryan Pace revamped their running back position during the summer.
Of course the team has moved on from Jordan Howard and brought in Mike Davis and drafted David Montgomery.
There was lots of hype surrounding Davis and how he would fit into the Bears scheme, however that died down fast when the Bears drafted Montgomery.
Now everybody is in love with Montgomery and he's labelled as a steal from the draft.
NFL.com's Lance Zierlein labels Montgomery as the likely Offensive Rookie of the Year.
“Of all the running backs in the 2019 draft, Montgomery might be the safest, based on his size, toughness and creativity as a runner,” Zierlein wrote. “While Mike Davis may begin the season as the starter, Chicago finished tied for sixth in the league in rushing attempts last season (468), so there should be more than enough carries to go around.”
Whether or not Montgomery wins rookie of the year, one thing's for sure, the Bears backfield is going to be quite exciting.
