Head coach Matt Nagy might survive the season as Chicago Bears head coach.

The McCaskey family has a tradition of not firing coaches in season.

However it’s clear with Nagy on an expiring contract, he won’t be back next year.

General manager Ryan Pace is a different story as he might earn himself another short term contract and according to one NFL insider he might bring an old friend to help him restart the Bears.

According to Sports Illustraded’s Albert Breer, all signs point to Pace trying to bring Sean Payton home to Chicago.

Which means, as our exec said, finding coaches who have “reached logical conclusions with their teams” would be an important piece to the puzzle in 2021.
That said, there are reasons for teams to investigate that this year, in particular. If you’re the Bears, and you make a change after the season, would you see if GM Ryan Pace, a former Saints exec, might be able to land native Chicagoan Sean Payton, who’s now in a bit of QB purgatory in New Orleans?

Would you like to see Payton working with Justin Fields?
