The Chicago Bears went up against one of the NFL's best rushing teams this weekend without two of their best interior players.
Without Akiem Hicks and Roquan Smith, the Bears were still able to shut down Dalvin Cook who was held to just 35 rushing yards on 14 attempts.
Chicago now gets ready to head to London for their game against the Oakland Raiders and while Hicks should play, it's highly possible Smith will be inactive once again.
While appearing on WBBM on Monday, Nagy said that the Bears are still "working through" his status for this upcoming weekend and "we'll see" if he's around.
Nagy wouldn't give any more details regarding Smith's absence and stayed the course saying it was for personal reasons.
Bears HC Matt Nagy just now on his day-after-game @WBBMNewsradio appearance would not commit to ILB Roquan Smith playing in London. He said the Bears are “working through” his status and that “we’ll see.” Nagy shared no new info on the personal reasons affecting Smith.
