The Chicago Bears announced this week that Kyle Long was done for the season and was placed on season ending IR.
Now it seems like Akiem Hicks could get shelved as well.
While Hicks would only be placed on IR and miss the next eight weeks and not the season, it's starting to sound like the move is coming.
Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports that the decision will be made this week and shared that head coach Matt Nagy recently said he "hopes Hicks can be back by the end of season".
That definitely sounds like an IR stint.
It's a tough blow for the Bears defense as the dline was pushed around once Hicks left the game against Oakland.
