Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio has created a monster in the Bears defense.
We saw it really starting to come together last year, and with a better offense on the field this year giving the defense some time to rest, things have really come together.
Has it been good enough to prove that Fangio is a viable NFL head coaching candidate?
There was plenty of speculation that Fangio was going to leave the Bears this offseason, especially after he interviewed for the Bears head coaching gig but was passed on for current head coach Matt Nagy.
Fangio had also previously interviewed for the San Francisco 49ers head coaching position back in 2015.
Jay Glazer of The Athletic writes that Chicago is worried they'll lose Fangio this offseason and he'll actually be one of the top candidates on the market.
Glazer does add though, that Fangio's age could play a factor in him not going anywhere as most teams are searching for younger head coaches these days.
Should the Bears do everything they can to keep him?
