As if the Kareem Hunt story wasn't enough....

A two time Super Bowl champion has just been sentenced to 8 years in state prison.

Former NFLer Brandon Browner pleaded no contest to attempted murder on Tuesday.

The former member of Seattle's "Legion of Boom" was accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend's apartment in California back in July and allegedly chased her, dragger her and then smothered her in a carpet, all while her two children were present.

He fled the scene but was later arrested and faced life in prison.

On Tuesday he pled no contest to 1 count of attempted murder and 2 counts of willful child endangerment. In exchange, the remaining charges (robbery, burglary and false imprisonment) were dropped.

Browner won Super Bowl's with both the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots.
