The Chicago Bears and general manager Ryan Pace announced some coaching news on Thursday.
After a terrible season at the Tight End position the Bears fired TE coach Kevin Gilbride on December 31.
Just a couple weeks later the team has found his replacement.
Chicago has hired veteran coach Clancy Barone to the staff in the position.
Barone last job in the NFL was with the Vikings, serving as their tight ends coach in 2017 and offensive line coach in 2018.
He took the year off in 2019.
He's also worked with the Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers.
