The Chicago Bears went out and landed quarterback Nick Foles through trade on Wednesday.
Everything points to Foles being the starter with all the coaching connections he already has on the Bears.
With the Bears need at quarterback taken care of, the team still has other needs to fill and one is at wide receiver.
According to some chatter, the Bears could go after a wide receiver that has connections to Ryan Pace like Foles has connections to Matt Nagy, Bill Lazor and John DeFilippo.
The Los Angeles Rams have placed wide receiver Brandin Cooks on the trade block and Cooks was drafted by the New Orleans Saints when Pace was there. Pace was director of player personnel at the time and Bears current director of player personnel John Lucas was a Saints scout.
Do these dots connect?
The Rams are in need of freeing up cap space and both Cooks and Todd Gurley are currently on the trade block.
