There's lots of hype around the Chicago Bears 2019 season and just as much hype regarding rookie running back David Montgomery.
While he's seen limited action during the preseason, he's racked up a rushing touchdown and 30 receiving yards on three receptions.
He's a shifty running back and Pro Football Focus have dug up some stats that definitely showcase that.
According to PFF who have been tracking college players since 2014, Montgomery is the only running back who has racked up 100 missed tackles in a season.
Not only is he the only running back to do it, but he's done it twice!
With Tarik Cohen and Mike Davis already in the mix, the Bears will definitely have one of if not the best running back groups in the league.
Since we began tracking college players in 2014, only twice has a running back eclipsed 100 missed tackles forced in a single season. Both times it was by David Montgomery, in 2017 (109) and 2018 (102).
