There are 9 former Bears among modern-era nominees for Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2023
It would be easy to make a case for several Bears in the 2023 Pro Football Hall of Fame class. One could argue that the Chicago organization has one of the richest histories in the league. So many great players wore the orange and blue during their careers.
With that being said, the NFL announced the 129 modern-era nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2023. On that list, 9 former Chicago Bears are present. The list will be cut to 25 semifinalists in November and then 15 finalists in early January. Here are the 9 former Bear:
OL Ruben Brown
KR/PR/WR Devin Hester
DE Jared Allen
OL Olin Kreutz
QB Dave Krieg
WR Muhsin Muhammad
DE/DT Clyde Simmons
CB Charles Tillman
LB Lance Briggs
Hester was a finalist last year and I really expect him to be one again. Hopefully, he is finally elected into the Hall of Fame this time.
