Bears Snapshot Series: Mushin Muhammed

Mushin Muhammed born Melvin Darnell Campbell Jr. played college football at Michigan State. Drafted by the Panthers in 1996 he was a two-time pro-bowl selection and made the 2004 all-pro team. He was known for his nickname "Moose", his signature mustache, and his touchdown dance. His name change happened when he was four and his dad converted to Muslim.

Two-time Super-Bowl contender Mushin Muhammed is easily one of the top five Bears receivers of the 2000s. He went to the big game twice, once with the Panthers in 2003, then again with the Bears in 2006. He constantly mentored and coached the younger receivers on the team, inspiring them to put in the work.

At a time when the Bears were desperate in the receiver department due to injuries, Mushin came in clutch. In his first year he put up 750 yards with four touchdowns, and 64 catches. By 2007 time was catching up with him, he spent 2008 with the Panthers then retired in 2009. He enjoyed a fourteen-year career before he packed it in. He was also my go-to in Madden 06.
