A Closer Look at Our EXTREMELY FAST Receiver

Velus Jones Jr! So many people were and still are against this draft pick. Personally? I love the pick. Sure he is a twenty-five-year-old rookie. However, his age doesn't impact his play-making ability. It isn't like he is thirty years of age and by the time he hits thirty, if he loses speed we will already have other receivers on the roster that can take his place.

Whenever I watch his college highlights, I am stunned at how awesome his game-breaking ability is. He has the ability to take it the distance of one play. Lindy's Sports magazine says that he is sharp with his route breaks and I have seen this on film time and time again.

He fits the visualization for the brand new position of the «wide back». Mark my words, if everything goes as planned, Luke Getsy will make a terrible weapon out of Velus Jones. He will be a terror for defenses within the next two years and could even be one THIS YEAR. A good point of reference for the «wide back» position would be Deebo Samuel. Exactly what you see him doing is what Velus will be doing in our offense based on what we have heard thus far. He is also a threat as a kick returner. He reminds me of Devin Hester. The locs? Kind of, but his speed and his threat to take it to the house. I am not saying that he will be as good as Hester, however, if he is anything half of Hester, that is good for us.
