2 Bears to take part in the new NFL diversity hiring program

Bears assistant GM Ian Cunningham and defensive coordinator Alan Williams will be at the NFL's coach and front office accelerator program next week in Atlanta. This will be the NFL's first-ever Coach and Front Office Accelerator. The event allows women and minority candidates to mingle with owners and take leadership courses.

The event will take place on May 23 and 24.

Williams has 30 years of football coaching experience, including 21 in the NFL. He was hired by the Bears this offseason after spending the last four seasons as the Colts' safeties coach. He joined his former friend and mentor Matt Eberflus.

Cunningham was hired by new Bears general manager Ryan Poles to be his assistant general manager. He brings 14 years of front office experience, most recently with the Eagles as their director of player personnel.
